5 minutes with our team: Lex Mawson

What do you do at The Parenting Place?

I’m my own personal PA. I also fly The Parenting Place flag around the Bay Of Plenty and Waikato.

How long have you worked here?

This is my second time working for this wonderful organisation, I’ve been back for six months.

What is your nickname at work? And why?

When your name is three letters long, it’s pretty tough to get a nickname so people just call me Geronimo.

Tell us a bit about your family

Hollie (wife), Maggie (two years old) and I are waiting for baby Spike (or Spikette) to come out and meet us in April 2017. Between the beach and Playdoh, we spend time cleaning up sand and Playdoh. We love it.

What is the best thing about being a dad?

Getting attention for your cute baby at the supermarket, that and getting to show my special little human/s the world.

Tell us a dad joke

What do Ninjas drink?

Two truths and a lie about yourself. Go.

I once caught 2148 cane toads. I was the Milky Bar kid. I don’t have any fillings in my teeth.
