Te Karere Scarborough is our programme director. He oversees Toolbox, our Auckland Parenting Place centre, events (including Pasifika Families and The Parenting Show with Pio), Attitude and National Young Leaders Day.

Prior to moving into this role, Te Karere headed up the Attitude team from 2010-2005 and presented more than 1150 presentations to over 150,000 teenagers, speaking on well-being, including topics like mental health, healthy relationships and cyber safety.

Te Karere and his wife Chloe are proud parents of Paora, Hinewai and Mahina. Parenthood has expanded Te Karere’s repertoire of wonderful stories, and given him a hands-on understanding of the important role of parenting. He is of Ngāpuhi descent.
