Booking and cancellation policies

Space course

In confirming your booking, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:

  • All bookings are subject to a $45 non-refundable booking fee (unless otherwise specified in writing)
  • Payment of your booking fee secures your place in the chosen Space course
  • If your booked course is cancelled or you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, we will: 1) Offer you a place in the next available Space course OR 2) Refund your booking fee

Due to high demand for our Space courses, we ask that you please advise your Space provider as soon as possible, in the event your circumstances change and you are unable to attend. Your co-operation with this, gives another parent and baby the opportunity to attend.

Programme costs can vary across Space providers as per pricing stated on the respective booking sites. These may be subject to change depending on the provider and are out of the control of Parenting Place.

Building Awesome Whānau course

In confirming your booking for a Building Awesome Whānau course, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:

  • Payment of your booking fee secures your place in the chosen Building Awesome Whānau course.
  • If you are unable to attend your course for any reason, we ask that you get in touch with us immediately.
  • Cancellation of your participation in a Building Awesome Whānau course more than 14 days prior to its scheduled occurrence will allow us to hold your payment as a credit against any other Building Awesome Whānau course you want to attend in the next 12 months.
  • Cancellation of your participation in a Building Awesome Whānau course less than 14 days prior to its scheduled occurrence will render your payment as non-refundable and non-transferable.

Toolbox courses

In confirming your booking for a Toolbox course, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:

  • Payment of your booking fee secures your place in the chosen Toolbox course.
  • If you are unable to attend your course for any reason, we ask that you get in touch with us immediately.
  • Cancellation of your participation in a Toolbox course more than 14 days prior to its scheduled occurrence will allow us to hold your payment as a credit against any other Toolbox course you want to attend in the next 12 months.
  • Cancellation of your participation in a Toolbox course less than 14 days prior to its scheduled occurrence will render your payment as non-refundable and non-transferable.

Parent Coaching appointments

Once you have booked an appointment with one of our Parent Coaches, that time has been reserved in their calendar schedules exclusively for you.

  • Any cancellation of a coaching session less than 24 hours prior to its scheduled occurrence, will be subject to full payment of the cost of your appointment.
  • Re-scheduling of an appointment less than/within 24 hours of its scheduled occurrence is treated as a cancellation and subject to full payment of the cost of your appointment.
  • Any cancellation of a coaching appointment less than/within 48 hours prior to its scheduled occurrence is subject to a $35 re-booking fee. This fee may be used against any future coaching bookings.
  • You may cancel a coaching appointment free of charge more than 48 hours out from its scheduled occurrence.

Cancellation or rescheduling of appointments may be done by emailing us at support@parentingplace.nz or calling us at 0800 535 659.

Parenting Talk bookings

When you book a parenting talk with one of our presenters, that presenter's time has been reserved in their calendar exclusively for you. For this reason, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is required within 7 days of making your booking.

  • Re-scheduling of a parenting talk more than 21 days prior to its scheduled occurrence is treated as a cancellation but allows us to hold your deposit and put it against the new date that you are re-booking for.
  • Cancellation of a parenting talk less than 21 days prior to its scheduled occurrence will render your deposit non-transferable. Re-booking will be treated as a new booking request, requiring a new non-refundable deposit of $250.
