As directed by the Privacy Act 2020 we have detailed here our privacy practices in collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and; disclosing information as well as our commitment to regularly reviewing them.

Information we collect

Our website automatically collects certain information about your device including information about your web browser, IP address and; time zone. As you browse the site, we also collect information relating to individual web pages or products that you view, website or search terms that referred you to the site and information about how you interact with the site. We refer to this automatically collected information as 'Device Information'.

How we collect information using 'Cookies' & other technology

Device information is collected using 'Cookies'. Cookies are small data files that are placed in your browser by the websites you visit and often include an anonymous unique identifier. They are widely used to help users navigate websites efficiently, to perform certain functions on the sites, and/or to provide site owners with information about how their sites are used. Social Media Cookies - We use social media to help communicate our work and give you the best customer experience - for example: our FB, Instagram, TikTok plug ins, embedded videos etc. These social media services have their own privacy policies and may track your use of our website on those pages where their links are deployed.

When you make a purchase or donation through our website or even just attempt to, we will collect your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information, email address and phone number. We refer to this as 'Order Information'

As an adult learner, when you navigate through our courses we will track how you engage with the content in our online courses, to improve our product offering, better your customer experience and meet your learning preferences. We have detailed below the steps we take to secure your information and the commitments of our system and platform partners through who we operate and collaborate.

The 'Personal Information' we talk about in this Privacy Policy is inclusive of both Device Information and Order Information.

How we use your personal information

The device information we collect (in particular IP address) is used to help screen potential risk and fraud and more generally to improve and optimise our site performance by

  • understanding how customers browse and interact with our site
  • assessing the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns

The order information collected is used to fulfil the orders placed through the site, including processing of your payment, receiving your donation, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or confirmations. We also use this order information to:

  • Communicate with you
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud
  • Provide you with information or advertising relating to our work, products; and services (if this is in line with the preferences you have indicated and permissions you have given us)

We will maintain your order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

We are careful about sharing your personal information

Personal Information is shared with third party systems that we use to manage information as described above. For example, we use Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud to manage our customer data, and communications and to provide relevant targeting to website users. Personal information may be used to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. You can opt out of targeted advertising for the following services here - Google, Facebook

Your personal information may be shared in the event that we must comply with applicable laws and regulations to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive or to otherwise protect our rights.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect changes in the Privacy Act, as well as changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
