Inclusivity statement

We at Parenting Place, recognise that Aotearoa is a diverse country, with families encompassing many different shapes, sizes, beliefs, and backgrounds.

We support anyone raising a child, with information and strategies to build a strong family unit, including parents in marriages, single and solo parents, same-sex couples, parents living together, parents navigating divorce and co-parenting, grandparents raising children, whāngai, foster and adoptive parents.

Our aim is for any parent* to find support and encouragement from our work, regardless of their religion, gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

We are inclusive of all, knowing that having a stable relationship with at least one supportive parent or adult is the strongest predictor of a child's well-being.

Our Vision: That every parent* in Aotearoa feels confident, and every child feels deeply loved

Our Mission: Supporting parents* to build strong family relationships

*Anyone raising a child including parents, caregivers, grandparents, aunties, uncles, guardians, foster carers.
