Our online courses sit within a family of resources that include parenting talks, face-to-face courses, access to parent coaches, social media offerings and a rich repository of articles that all deliver empowering and hopeful content, in ways that address specific situations and requirements.

Who is our audience?

Intended learning outcomes

Our online self-guided courses intend to help parents, caregivers and; educators in the following way

  • Empathy and calm – Help parents and caregivers stay grounded in the presence of a child's overwhelming feelings, understanding their triggers and being able to sit with their children and offer their calm.
  • Curiosity and support – Help parents and caregivers to notice the specifics and context of their child's behaviour, emotions and physical symptoms at different ages and stages, to be attentive to signs of distress and provide a 'safe-container' for their children. Parent will get insights on how their support and reassurance can help their child cope with thoughts, feelings and facing fears in a scaffolded way.
  • Learning and research – Give parent and caregivers some information on the 'hows' and 'whys' of their child's feelings and triggers providing them with  effective strategies to support them. Courses will also point them in the direction of further help if needed.
  • Collaboration with professionals – Give participants the opportunity to hear from professionals such as paediatricians, psychologists, and parent coaches to assist with developing strategies and treatment plans that work within their own family contexts.
  • Advocacy – Parents and caregivers often need to act as advocates for their child's mental health needs. These courses can help with language and skills to communicate with teachers, school administrators and other caregivers to ensure that appropriate accommodations and support are in place to create a conducive environment for their child's well-being.
  • Patience and resilience – Parenting can be challenging and often requires both patience and resilience. These courses help parents to understand that while progress may take time and; setbacks may occur, that there are very manageable things they can do that will make a real difference and encourage them to remain committed to supporting their child.
