Parenting Talks policy

Parenting Talks are fun, inspiring and encouraging events for all parents and caregivers where our experienced presenters share practical tools and solutions for challenges facing families today. Messages are delivered from a place of empathy and compassion, and content is evidence-informed, drawing on the latest research.

Parenting Talks are designed to support thriving whānau relationships in a way that is relatable and entertaining, and can be held in-person at workplaces, schools, ECEs and community groups, as well as online.

Terms of booking

Once you have booked a Parenting Talk with one of our presenters, that presenter's time has been reserved in their schedule exclusively for you. For this reason, booking a Parenting Talk incurs a non-refundable deposit of $250 payable within 7 days of booking.

Rescheduling of a Parenting Talk more than 21 days prior to its scheduled occurrence is treated as a cancellation but allows us to hold your deposit and put it against the new date you are re-booking for.

Cancellation of a Parenting Talk 21 days or less, than its scheduled occurrence will render your deposit non-transferable. Re-booking will be treated as a new booking request, subject to a further non-refundable deposit of $250.

Cancellation or rescheduling of Parenting Talks can be done by emailing us at support@parentingplace.nz or calling us at 0800 535 659.

In the event of permission being granted by an authorised Parenting Place staff member, any digital recording made may only be shared with people who are employees, staff or stakeholders of the organisation or school community that commissioned the Parenting Talk - for up to a maximum period of one month following the event. After this time it must be deleted.

Parenting Talks promotions and marketing assets

Parenting Place will supply a standard Parenting Place Parenting Talk promotional poster/flyer in PDF or JPEG format for organisations to promote the event and inform attendees. This poster will contain specific event details relevant for promoting the talk.

Ticket sales and other promotional activity are outside the scope of Parenting Place and will be the responsibility of the event host/organiser.
